Be gone plaid! « The nomadic reporter

I picked up this $5 chair and $2 fabric from the local thrift store.

Sanded it down lightly. Added a few coats of paint.

Then one coat of old varnish that turned the chair orange.

About five more coats of white paint to cover up said mistake.

Two coats of the fabulous Miniwax Polycrylic Protective Finish in clear gloss. No orange this time!

Result: one comfortable, cheery office chair for less than $10.

Miffed in Middle Canada: I think you should slipcover Wheezy with plaid. “Pretty ‘n plaid”
